Alex Long, 20.

Killed 1995

Our son is dead.

He was dead this morning when I woke up.

He was dead at lunchtime.

He will be dead when I go to sleep.

And he will still be dead in those sleepless hours around 3am.

He will be dead for all of every day for the rest of our lives.

If he had been travelling slower he would have retained control of his motorbike.

He would not have crashed.

We might now be playing with his children, our grandchildren.
